Heil Say Farewell to Dave

David Pugh, Regional Sales Manager for Heil Europe for the past seven years has announced he will retire on 1st September after forty years working within the municipal industry.

David said; "I have worked for Heil for seven and a half years, and by the end of this month I will have been in the Municipal business for over forty years. I started in June 1966 with Dennis Brothers selling dustcarts for £4600 complete. I must say I have enjoyed every minute".

Roy Cooper, Sales and Service Director of Heil Europe commented; "David has been a valuable member of the team and is very respected by his customers. Heil have been privileged to have had such a committed employee".

Heil would like to take this opportunity to thank Dave for his long service at Heil and wish him a fond farewell and enjoyable retirement.

David left school in 1959 and began working for the Austin Motor Company as an engineering apprentice - it was here that David found his passion for sales. David then went on to work as Fleet Sales Representative for the British Motor Corporation and in 1966 joined Dennis Brothers as Municipal Sales Rep. In 1972, David joined Shelvoke and Drewry and in 1986 joined Norba. David moved from Norba and began working for Heil Europe as Regional Sales Manager in 1999 where he continued his passion for the municipal industry until 2006.

David ends; "I have always worked for quality companies and reckon to have sold an average of 70 units a year - 2800 in total. I have no regrets have enjoyed every moment, my only advice would be never give up and keep in touch with potential customers and eventually you will succeed".
