Riverside Truck Rental Introduce Heil Big Bite to Fleet
A new Heil Big Bite has recently been supplied to Riverside Truck Rental as part of a fleet expansion programme due to company growth.
Heil, who are the UK’s leading refuse collection manufacturer have designed and built the new Big Bite to Riverside’s specifications.

Heil’s Big Bite is considered to be the industry standard in REL design. It offers a refuse carrying capacity of up to 31m³, which with the large 2.5m³ hopper, facilitates the collection of large refuse items and reduces the collection time for each trip by increasing the volume packed in each cycle. It can lift bins up to 1100 litres and with its programmable logic controls (PLC) the Big Bite offers simplified control, reliable operation and system conditioning monitoring.
The new Big Bite has been fitted with an on-board weighing system for greater measurability. All weights are recorded allowing customers to monitor the amounts of waste being recycled.
Maintenance of the new Bite Bite will take place in house by Riverside.
