Heil Europe Help Access More Areas
One of Britain’s fastest-growing municipal service specialists, Verdant, uses its expertise, experience and versatility to help nearly 20 local authorities in England and Wales deal with their environmental challenges.
A challenge that faces many authorities around the country is the accessibility to convenient waste collection points, with so much Victorian infrastructure to contend with. Verdant is now using three new Narrow Powertrack 14’s on Mercedes Atego 4x2 chassis’ to help them cope with some of the narrow streets of the borough. The vehicles were purchased by the borough council and are being leased by Verdant for use on Waltham Forest’s contract.
Commenting on the new vehicles, Verdant’s Refuse Manager at Waltham Forest, David Humphries, said: “The new vehicles are being used for bulky household collection around the borough and they are allowing us to gain better access to some areas. They are working really well for us in their performance”.
Working in partnership with its public sector clients, Verdant provides a range of professional, quality-led and cost-effective waste collection, recycling, cleansing and grounds maintenance services. So far, this is the eighth Heil Europe RCV operated by the company.
Commercial waste and recycling for business and industry are supplied by its Waste Services (UK) Ltd subsidiary.
Verdant employs over 1,200 well-trained staff who make nearly 1,000,000 domestic waste and recycling collections each week.
The Powertrack, long-established workhorse of the Heil range of RCVs, is available in both narrow and standard widths. Manufactured by Heil in Scotland, it provides flexibility to any RCV fleet.
