Heil Europe Help Willshee's Waste Management Double in Size in Two Years
As the saying goes ‘one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure’ and the adage is certainly true for a Midlands based company, Willshee’s Waste Management.
Burton-on-Trent is a rapidly growing town and, being centrally based, is attracting a large number of companies to relocate there. An increase in business also means an increase in trade waste and Dean Willshee realised the opportunity the growth presented.
Dean had recently taken the reins of the family business and was ambitious to make his mark on the company. With his new enthusiasm Willshee’s Waste Management moved from skip hire and waste collection into a full regular trade waste and recycling company. In doing so, the company has purchased its first RCV from Heil Europe.
“It seemed like a logical step.” said Dean, “We were already in the waste collection business through the skip hire and we were just expanding our area of expertise. Now we do a regular commercial waste collection as well as a cardboard recycling round”.
The vehicle of choice for Willshee is a Heil Big Bite 27 fitted with the Big Bite Comb Lift. The vehicle’s swing link design ensures maximum compaction and the large 27cu/m capacity provides operators with the added benefit of more time on the road and fewer journeys to empty the vehicle.
Willshee’s Waste Management has doubled in size in the last two years alone and now employs over 20 people. The new Big Bite is out on its collection rounds every day and the reliability of the vehicle is paramount to the company’s growth and success.
