New Heil Europe RCV’s For Castle Point Extended Waste Services

Extending refuse and recycling services has become a priority for many councils around the UK and Castle Point Borough Council is no exception. The Essex based council has recently purchased six new Heil Powerlink 22’s for use on their refuse and recycling rounds, which they have recently extended to cover green waste as well as cardboard, glass, paper and textiles.

The new Heil Powerlinks will operate in the 17 sq miles of the council’s jurisdiction on the northern side of the Thames estuary. Refuse and Recycling Manager Dave Cracknell is no stranger to the Heil range as they now make up the majority of Castle Point’s fleet of RCV’s.

“They have served us very well in the past and we are happy to add these new Powerlink’s to our fleet” he commented. “They are reliable and durable and overall very good value. We have a high population density area to cover, with more and more complex recycling schemes to cope with, so we need reliable vehicles to ensure we are as efficient as possible”.

The Powerlink is one of Heil’s most popular RCV’s, and is available with cubic capacities from 16 to 26m³ and with ribbed or curved shell body options.
