New Powerlinks for Rugby BC

Rugby Borough Council has recently taken delivery of two new Heil Powerlinks built on a 6x4 Mercedes chassis. The council is also due to receive a further two Powerlinks in March taking their Heil fleet to 6 in total.

Serving 38,800 homes every week across the Borough of Rugby the Powerlinks are used for green waste and normal refuse. The vehicles will also be used to collect recyclable waste, displaying the versatility which the Powerlink offers.

Rugby Borough Council are extremely impressed with Heil’s products. Wayne Knighton, Operations Manager, outlines the benefits of working with Heil “It’s a quality product, as a result we have a long standing relationship with Heil. Their vehicles are very reliable and versatile.”

The Powerlink provides flexibility to any RCV fleet. With its full-cycle compaction mechanism, it produces less friction than conventional channelled compaction systems thus ensuring that a greater force is directed into the load. The reduction of friction increases durability of materials, improving whole life costs.

Additionally a newly designed hydraulic system offers unique and unparalleled performance; reduced downtime; lower maintenance costs and less risk of environmental pollution.
