Heil Powertrak Proves its Strength in Hartlepool
Hartlepool Borough Council has recently taken delivery of its first Heil Powertrak and is already putting the vehicle though its paces.
This is the first Heil Europe vehicle in the Hartlepool fleet of 10 RCV’s and the feedback is 100% positive that the Powertrak is the perfect vehicle for the demanding trade collection service offered by the borough council.
Fleet Manager Dave Morton is pleased with the Powertrak’s performance and commented: “We had heard good reports about Heil vehicles from neighbouring councils and we were very impressed with the demonstration last year. In its first month of operation the Powertrak has performed really well and is very well suited to the demanding role it is fulfilling”.
The Powertrak is used solely for trade waste collection in the borough and operates five days a week for at least seven hours a day. Each day the collections are made from over 150 trade premises, making it the hardest working vehicle in the fleet.
The 21m³ body is complimented by the Heil UTL trade bin lift and can handle bulk materials easily. The Powertrak’s robust design gives a high performance level and lower ownership cost with minimum downtime when replacing wear parts.
