New Powerlinks and a Big Bite for Donarbon
Donarbon, the fastest growing waste management group in East Anglia, has recently taken delivery of two Powerlinks and a Big Bite from leading British RCV manufacturer, Heil Europe.
Cambridgeshire based waste management company, Donarbon, offers a comprehensive and innovative waste service to businesses, local authorities and the general public. Their collection services, recycling, composting and disposal facilities can be used for most types of waste.
Based at the 500 acre site at Waterbeach, just north of Cambridge, the Powerlink’s and the Big Bite will be used on all aspects of the company’s commercial and trade waste collections.

Heil’s Big Bite is considered to be the industry standard in REL design. It offers a refuse carrying capacity of up to 31m³ which, with the large 2.5m³ hopper, facilitates the collection of large refuse items and reduces the collection time for each trip by increasing the volume packed in each cycle. With its programmable logic controls (PLC) the Big Bite offers simplified control, reliable operation and system conditioning monitoring.
The Powerlink provides flexibility to any RCV fleet. With its full-cycle compaction mechanism, it produces less friction than conventional channelled compaction systems thus ensuring that a greater force is directed into the load. The reduction of friction increases durability of materials, improving whole life costs.
